William Henry "Poochie" Null, 83, of Charleston passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 16, 2022.
He served in the United State Army for four years with a tour to Germany during his service and retired from Praxair after many years as a Service Technician.
William had an indescribable passion for hunting, fishing and ultimately his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.He lived his life making the lives of those closest to him a priority and being very present as a father and grandfather.
He found much enjoyment in a conversation of picking and "shooting the bull."He could often be seen working in the garden where passersby would see him throw up his hand as he shouted "Hey!"He always enjoyed visiting and spending time with family and friends.
In most recent years, his dog Jada was his most loyal and compassionate partner who will also miss him greatly.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Henry Marvin Null and Sarah Ann Pugh Null, his brothers, James "Lew" Null, Seebert Null, Marvin Keith "Punkie" Null and Kenneth Ray "Red" Null.
He is survived by his sons, William "Eric" Null of Charleston, Wyatt Null (Kerri) of Danville, Garreth Null (Elizabeth) of Charleston, Chris Null (Amy) of Charleston; grandchildren, Halie Null, Zach Null, Kelby Null, Dustin Null, Cydnie Null, Hunter Null, Cody Null and Brodie Null.Great Grandchildren, Troy, Aria and Grayson; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kiana, and Easton, sister, Linda Null and brother Dennis "Chummie" Null both of Charleston.
Graveside services and burial with Military Graveside Rites will be 10:00 AM Saturday March 26, 2022 at Goff McClanahan Cemetery, Charleston with Pastor Paul Bailey officiating.A celebration of life gathering will be held immediately following services for family and friends at Crossroads Community Church, 328 Martins Branch Road, Charleston, WV.
