William G "Billy" McMillion, 85, of Charleston, passed away on July 16, 2024 at CAMC General Hospital, after a short illness, surrounded by members of his family. Billy was born December 21, 1938, in Charleston, West Virginia, to Dola and Audra McMillion.

Billy was preceded in death by his father Dola Orville McMillion; mother Audra Belle Kiser McMillion; sisters Garnet Starcher, Dolly Haynes, and Patricia Casto; brothers Robert and Marvin McMillion; and stepson Craig Fizer.

Survivors include his wife Shirley; children Curtis McMillion (Kimber), William McMillion, Lori Barton (Danny), and Melissa Allen (Robert); stepson Jeffrey Fizer (Sharon); grandchildren Brandon McMillion, Brooke McMillion, Tyler Jordan McMillion, Justin Mobley, Travis Mobley, Brittany Rogers, Danielle Fore (Johnathon), Kaitlin Smith, and Shannon Jordan; great-grandchildren Alona Young, Kyla Young, Elena Mobley, Sophia Casto, Emma Day, Brantlee Fore, Gracie Fore, Astor Smith, and Grady Jordan.

Billy, a lifelong resident of Charleston, was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He loved and cared for his family and friends.  He was an avid gardener and shared the produce from his garden freely.  He will be missed.

Friends may visit with the family from 6 pm to 8 pm on Sunday July 21 at Cunningham Parker and Johnson on West Washington Street, Charleston.

A funeral will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 2007 McClure Parkway, Charleston, WV 25312 on Monday July 22 at 1:00 PM.  Burial will follow after the service in the McMillion family cemetery next to the Two Mile Grove Baptist Church.
