William Boyd Kersey 55 of Cross Lanes passed away August 28, 2014 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. Mr. Kersey retired from Pepsi as a delivery driver. He was a former member of Eagles #519. William loved playing softball, Mountaineer football, and Reds baseball. He also loved hunting, fishing and golfing and was a current member of Poca River Hunting and Fishing Club. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Kersey; sons, Drew and Tyler Palmer of Cross Lanes; brother, Rick Kersey of Alabama; sister, Pamela Holt of Charleston; and his grandson, Dakoda Palmer that was the light of his life. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews left to mourn his passing. Memorial service will be 5:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. A gathering of friends will be from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. A special thank you is extended to the ICU staff at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Tina Gaynor Landers and all of their friends.
