Obituary

William Boyd Kersey 55 of Cross Lanes passed away August 28, 2014 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. He was a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School. Mr. Kersey retired from Pepsi as a delivery driver. He was a former member of Eagles #519. William loved playing softball, Mountaineer football, and Reds baseball. He also loved hunting, fishing and golfing and was a current member of Poca River Hunting and Fishing Club. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Kersey; sons, Drew and Tyler Palmer of Cross Lanes; brother, Rick Kersey of Alabama; sister, Pamela Holt of Charleston; and his grandson, Dakoda Palmer that was the light of his life. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews left to mourn his passing. Memorial service will be 5:00 PM Sunday, September 7, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. A gathering of friends will be from 3 to 5 PM at the funeral home. A special thank you is extended to the ICU staff at Cabell-Huntington Hospital, Tina Gaynor Landers and all of their friends. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations to The American Diabetes Association, 1701 North Beauregard Street, Alexandria, VA 22311, or the veterans association of your choice.
