Reverend William H. "Billy" Cole, 74. The beloved husband of Shirley Kelbaugh Cole for 55 years rested this life Monday July 27, 2009 at home after a long illness. He was born July 28, 1934 in Newark, Ohio. The son of the late Reverend Jewell Colonel Cole and Mary Shirley Cole. Reverend W.H. "Billy" Cole was educated in Wood County, WV and ordained into the ministry of the United Pentecostal Church International in Huntington WV. He evangelized throughout the world and established churches in Ravenswood and Wheeling, WV and 53 churches in the nation of Thailand where he baptized 289 Buddhist priests into the Lord Jesus Christ. He also pastored in Spencer, Parkersburg, and Charleston, WV where he served as Pastor for 20 years. The North Charleston Apostolic Church, where he served as Bishop is his home church. His service to the church has been Youth President of the East Central District, the District Secretary of the WV District, member of the National Foreign Missionary Board, and Executive Presbyter of the General Board of the United Pentecostal Church International and a world wide evangelist and has seen approximately 1 million converts. Through his ministry hundreds of men have been mentored to carry on the torch of apostolic faith. He is held in loving memory by his wife Shirley. One daughter and son-in-law, Brenda and Rondel Moss, II. Three grandchildren and their spouses, Pastor Anthony and Shanna Moss, Johnathan and Kelly Moss, LaVonda and Brian Garrett, all of Charleston. Three great-grandchildren, Alauna, Shiran, and Isaiah. One sister, Hilda Cunningham of Chesapeake, VA. One brother, Benjamin David and wife Michelle Cole of Parkersburg, WV. A special nephew, the Reverend Irwin J. Cunningham and a world wide family of friends. Funeral Services will be 6:00 PM Tuesday August 4, 2009 at the North Charleston Apostolic Church, 2400 6th Avenue, Charleston , WV. Officiating will be by Esteemed UPCI Ministers. Private Entombment will follow at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens. Visitation with the family will be Monday August 3, 2009 from 6 to 9 PM, and Tuesday August 4, 2009 from 4 to 6 PM at the Church.
