William R. Arrington
William R. Arrington, 79, of Charleston, passed away, August 10, in CAMC General Hospital.
He was retired from the United States Marine Corps, with 20 years of service, and a Viet Nam veteran.
William was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys I. Arrington; sons, Robert Arrington and Gary Tomblin; daughter, Trina Riggs; and son-in-law, Bryant Riggs.
Survivors, sons, Timothy and wife, Judy Arrington of Charleston, and Dennis and wife, Leah Arrington of Alaska; daughter, Jeannie Bailey and husband, Joe Bailey of Ripley; sister, Carolyn; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, August 14, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, with Pastor Dana Clay officiating. Burial will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes, with military graveside rites provided by Herbert J. Thomas Detachment #947 Marine Corps League.
Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
