For years, Wanda and James ran the Gulf service station on Route 21 in Sissonville, a time enjoyed by the family and many in the community who frequented the establishment.
Wanda's greatest joy came from being a homemaker who loved cooking and baking for her extensive family. She also enjoyed gardening, canning and quilting and took pride in all she did. Her family will miss her nurturing ways and all the wonderful meals she provided over the years, lending to large family gatherings and much love and laughter.
Wanda was a lifelong member of Elizabeth Baptist Church, where the entire family regularly participated in church activities for many years.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to HospiceCare for their kindness and guidance, as well as Wanda's niece, Pam Parsons, who spent many days providing her company and loving care.
