Wanda Mae McClanahan Hammonds, 79 of Charleston was born November 18, 1942 to the late Henry (Hut) and Juanita McClanahan.She was preceded in death by her husband Mansford N. Hammonds; daughter Arlie Hammonds; brother, Clyde McClanahan; sister, Mary Ellen Davis and husband Bob; sister-in-law, Patty McClanahan.
Surviving are brothers, Rex Lee McClanahan and Brenda, Billy Lee McClanahan and Burma; sister, Sarah Louise and Brian Thomas; nephew (same as a brother), James Robinson and Chasity; children, Ronald H. Hammonds, Teresa L. Young and Daniel R. Hammonds; special friend Ron Minor; grandkids, Justin (Sarah) Crystal (Ron), Ashley and Edwin; great grandkids Brantley, Brody, Ben, Brooklynn, Cassius and Camaya.Great Granddaughter Arlie Mae Dailey, due in May.
Thank you to Hospice for everything that was done especially Scott, Cheryl and Beth.
In keeping with her wishes, her body will be cremated and a Private Family Service will be held at a later date.
