Wanda Gibson, 63, of Sissonville, WV, passed away after a short illness on Monday, February 10, 2025. She was born on March 2, 1961, to Maisie Landers Gibson, the late Nester Gibson.

Wanda was her daddy's girl. She was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone down and out, and she never met a stranger.

In addition to her father, Wanda is preceded in death by her sister Regina A. Gibson, nephew Justin L. Gibson, and brother-in-law Ronald K. Burdette.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children Brandy Dickens of St. Albans, Brandon Cochran of Charleston, Mike (Casey) Harless of South Charleston, Shawn and Kirby Harless of Charleston, mother Maisie Gibson of Sissonville, siblings Laura Gibson, Penny Payne, Peggy Pritt (Debbie) of Sissonville, Ken (Kim) Gibson of St. Albans, Larry (Joyce) Gibson and Clara Burdette of Sissonville and Frank Gibson of Fairplain, grandchildren Lexi, Chance, Rylan, Smokey, Charlie and Ari, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Cunningham Parker Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Delane Tignor officiating. Burial will follow in Sissonville Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 - 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
