Wanda Jean Burford, 83 of Charleston passed away on January 31, 2012. Wanda was born on January 4, 1929 and has been a lifelong resident of Kanawha County. She retired from Charleston Area Medical Center, Inc. where she was employed as an LPN. She attended church at Utah Mission Community Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, N.E. "Coon" Burford; a son, Charley Burford; a daughter, Mary Kathryn "Kitty" Burford, and a son-in-law, Larry Harper. Surviving her are four children: Jerry Burford and his wife Doris; Jennifer Hughart and her husband John; Vanessa Harper; Pamela Murray and her husband Eric, all of Sissonville; her sister, Faye Baldwin of Sissonville, and her brother, Jerl Stonestreet, who resides in South Carolina. Grandchildren, Kimberly Slater, Anna Haynes, Kelli Armes, Jessica Calloway, Brian Harper, Chris Harper, Eric Stephen Murray and Scott Murray. She has 14 Great Grandchildren, Presley, Josie, MaKinley, Adistyn, Johnnie, Tristan, Alec, Tatum, Laney, Kelsey, Alexis, Nathan, Braeden and Jonathon. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday February 3, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Raymond Stonestreet officiating. Burial will follow in Goff-McClanahan Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be Thursday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home. In Lieu of flowers, the Burford family would like Memorial donations be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd., W. Charleston, WV 25387-2536.
