Vivian L. Stowers 61 of Charleston passed away August 18, 2012 at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was a Homemaker and a loving Mother and Grandmother. Vivian touched many lives and was a special person to us all. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who met her. Preceding her in death was her father, Harry L. Stone and brother, Allen Stone. Survivors include her loving husband and caregiver of 42 years Jimmy E. Stowers; son, Jimmy E. "Jimbo" Stowers, II of Charleston; daughter, Jodie M. Stowers of Charleston; mother, Juanita Stone of Charleston; brother, Michael Stone of DuPont City; sisters, Shelia L'Heureux of Milledgeville, Georgia and Vicky Al-Hazineh of Jordan, Middle East. Grandchildren, Conner Stowers, Katie Shamblin, Haley Shamblin and Anthony Harmon. A Celebration of Vivian's life will be 6:00 PM Thursday August 23, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Vannoy officiating. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Thursday.
