Vivian Jeanette Maddox, 89, of Charleston passed away peacefully on January 1, 2024 at Hubbard House after a short illness.

Janette was born March 28, 1934 to the late Ross and Sybil Mullens.  She is preceded in death by her husband Dale; son, Tom; and sister, Dwanna Gardner.

Left to cherish her memories are daughters, Dianne Postalwait and Mary Ann Maddox, both of Charleston; grandsons, Nathan and Josh Postalwait also of Charleston; and Elmer Postalwait (Becky), who was like another son to her.

Jeanette grew up in Boone County and attended Sherman High School, Beckley College, and Morris Harvey College.

Jeanette retired from Bell Atlantic  and was a member of the telephone Company Pioneers. She was also a member of the Women's Club in Mullens and Charleston.
