Virginia M. Toombs, 94 of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on May 23, 2013 at Lakin Hospital where she had resided since 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry and Alice (Davis) Watson; daughters, Joy Jacqueline Toombs and Faith Eleanor Staples; grandson, Timmy White; 12 brothers and sisters; and ex-husband, Rupert V. Toombs, Sr. Survivors include her loving daughters, Martha Justice of Fairborn, OH and Emma Toombs Botkin of Charleston; sons, Herbert Toombs of Houston, TX, R. Vincent Toombs, Jr. of Beaver Creek, OH and Ralph E. Toombs of Kissimmee, FL; 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, South Charleston. Visitation with the family will be 2 hours prior to funeral service at the funeral home.
