Virginia "Jenny" McLane, 86, of Charleston, WV, passed away peacefully at home December 22, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was born on July 19, 1937 in Matewan, WV, to parents Daniel B. Estep and Mary Harris Estep.

Jenny's love of life was infectious and her loyal devotion to her family was her most defining quality. She was the proud mother of her daughters Teresa Lanham, of Salem, VA, and Marsha (Jeff) Thompson of Peterstown, WV. Teresa and Marsha had loving and special relationships with their mother that have lasted to this day and are truly unique. Her friends and neighbors could always depend on a heartfelt greeting, her genuine laugh, and a charming quip often from the front porch swing of her home where she has resided for 60 years. Recently Jenny could reliably be found winning big at Dunbar Bingo or worshiping in the pews of North Charleston Apostolic Church, where she found her salvation, bringing laughter and friendship to all of us who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Jenny is preceded in death by James Coffman, Ada Wilburn and Thomas (Junior) McLane.

She left behind her devoted brothers, James, Joe, and Earl Estep, sister Maggie Petry and special friend Sandy Brogan. She will be missed by her grandchildren Jason (Racquel) Burton, Sara Krsul, Kristin (Chris) Holmes and Samantha (Trey) Lemons. She will always be fondly remembered by her great grandchildren Brooke, Karson and Grace as well as her great-great-granddaughter Lainey Ann.
