Virgil L. Spencer 64 of Charleston passed away January 3, 2013 at CAMC General Division after a short illness. He was a Landscaper and Roofer by trade. Preceding him in death were his parents, John and Ocie Jane Spencer. Surviving him is his loving wife of 43 years Peggy Spencer; sons, Michael Lee Spencer and wife Wendy of Charleston, David Allen Spencer, Douglas Dwayne and Brian Edward Spencer both of Charleston; step-daughter, Joyce Lynn Slater of Sissonville; brothers, Shirley Spencer of Elkview and James Spencer of Fairmont; sisters, Ruby Olive of Elkview, Frances Johnson of Big Chimney, Ida Frame of Clendenin and Two Grandsons, Michael Lee Spencer, Jr. and Colton Lee Wilson. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Sunday January 6, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Westfall Cemetery, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Saturday at the Funeral Home.
