Vickie Lynn Cummings, 61, of Dunbar, went home to be with the Lord Friday, December 28, 2018, after a short illness at CAMC Memorial, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Vickie was born in Charleston, WV, on July 25, 1957, graduated from Stonewall Jackson High School, and retired from Frontier Communications.
She enjoyed crocheting, coloring art, many crafts, her cat family, fishing with Bob, and keeping the Trails of Dream Tournament family together. Vickie loved being home after retirement.
Preceding her passing, were her parents, Violet Lorraine Cummings and Roy Cummings; grandparents, William Thomas and Orthie Opal Greiver Holley; Herbert Cummings and Florence Cummings.
Survivors include, Lifelong partner of 42 years, Bob Burgess; brothers, Roy Lee Cummings, and Gary Wayne Cummings; sisters, Patricia Cummings, and Shelbie Pomeroy , and Iva Lou Burgess who she helped care for.
A celebration of Vickie's life will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Chaplain Jim Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 2, also at the funeral home.
