Verdeen M. Halley 87 of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord March 14, 2013. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Verdeen is preceded in death by her husband Arles B. Halley and her parents, Hoy and Effie Jordan. Survivors include her sons, Michael Halley and wife Deirdra of Charleston; Kevin Halley and wife Cathy of Newton, NC; Robert Halley and wife Mary of Kenna; Timmy and Ronnie Halley both of Sissonville; Jimmy Damron and wife Beverly of Newton, NC. Daughters, Kathy Burdette and husband Ray of Charleston and Gloria Jean Harrison and husband Jerry of Detroit, MI; brother, Kermit Jordan; sisters, Ardona Holmes; Barbara Britton and Judy Gibson. 13 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday March 19, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Clifton Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar. Visitation with the family will be Monday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
