Velma L. Fisher Velma L. Fisher, 77, of Sissonville, went home to be with the Lord, May 21, 2010. She was a dietician at Cedar Ridge Center. She was a Christian and a member of Kanawha Two Mile Gospel Tabernacle. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother who always put others before herself. Velma was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Donald R. Fisher; great-granddaughter, Makenzie Grace Francisco; parents, Frank and Ocie Clendenin; brother, Harold "Brother" Clendenin; sister, Toots Sigmon. Surviving are her children; Linda Francisco and her husband, David E., Sr., of Sissonville, Patty Haynes and husband, Randy of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Kenny Fisher and wife, Dody of Ripley; Shirley Casto of Sissonville, Becky Walker of Sissonville, and Kevin Fisher and wife, Babette of Columbus, Ohio; brothers and sisters, Catherine Miller and husband, Odie of Charleston, Oneda Legg of Sissonville, Betty Layton and husband, Jim of Nitro, Wilma Lee Joslin and husband, Rick of Cross Lanes, and Buster Clendenin and wife, Pam of Russell, Kentucky; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 24, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor John Hensley and Pastor David Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from noon until 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
