Travis Alan Phelix 35 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord March 15, 2014. He was a 1996 Graduate of Sissonville High School, employed by NGK Spark Plug Plant, and attended services at Sissonville Community Church. Whether it was building fires, playing games, or lending a helping hand and a caring heart, Travis loved being together with his friends and family. But, perhaps what brought him the most joy was anytime he was able to spend time with his daughter, Megan. Survivors include his wife, Ashley Phelix; daughter, Megan Renee Phelix; step-daughter, Kelly King; parents, Darrell and Sandra Proctor Phelix; sister, Melissa Waite; brother, Jeffrey Phelix; nephews, Bryce Waite, Kayden Phelix, and niece Delaney Waite; and brother-in-law, Fred Waite all of Charleston. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday March 21, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Mike Ramsey and Rev. Cliff Thaxton officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home.
