Toni R. "Tonya" Harper 47, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord Saturday February 6, 2010 at home surrounded by her family after a long illness. Born in Kanawha County, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Shirley M. Harper. She was a loving daughter, sister and mother. She made friends with all who met her. She was baptized in her teens and attended Brown United Methodist Church. Her loving nature was God's gift to us. She laughed often, forgave easily and taught us the true meaning of love and compassion. She will be greatly missed and remembered always. Left to cherish her memory is daughter Shelly M. Harper of Charleston, brother, Vernon C. Harper and wife Cathy of Jacksonville, Florida, sisters, Teresa A. Fisher and husband Jeff of Sissonville and Patricia L. Carrier and husband Patrick of Dunbar, niece Chelsea L. Carrier and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The Harper family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. Sam Henson for the special care and compassion shown to our loved one. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday, February 13, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Corbet May officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be Friday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
