IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Timothy "Buddha"
Hall
May 26, 1977 – August 22, 2025
Timothy "Buddha" James Hall, 48, of Ottawa, WV, passed away on the early morning of Friday, August 22, 2025. Tim was born on May 26, 1977, in Madison, WV, to the late Kathy Jean Silva and James Donald Hall. Tim spent his childhood looking after his younger sister, which would later prepare him for his journey into fatherhood. In 1997, he graduated from Scott High School to later go on to play football for Potomac State College of WVU. After college, Tim worked for several years in the coal mines and in construction.
Tim was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones above all else, especially his two beautiful children, who were the light of his life. He was proud to be a brother, father, uncle, and nephew, and he held each role close to his heart.
One of Tim's greatest passions was cooking. He found joy in creating meals for those he loved, often turning the simplest ingredients into what felt like five-star dishes. The kitchen was where his creativity and care came together, leaving behind memories as comforting as the meals he prepared.
Tim's love for his family, his warmth, and his gift for making something special out of even the simplest of things will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Tim is preceded in death by his father, James Donald Hall and mother Kathy Jean Silva.
Those left to cherish his memory include his two children Noah Hall and Selena Hall of Ripley; His best friend and sister, Amy Hall Lambert (Robbie) of Oak Hill; His brother Jamie Hall (Megan) of Ranger, WV. Denise Ann Silva of Chandlersville OH, Josh Silva of Woodsville OH; Grandmother Eva Lowery; Grandpaw Allen Burton; Niece Jayden "Jadie" McClure of Oak Hill; Nephew James Hall of Ranger; Aunts Carla (Scottie) Queen of Ottawa, Frances (Roger) Casto of Lake, Gay Marie Price (Scottie) of Ottawa, Delora Dunlap of Myrtle Beach; Uncles Jesse Price (Jess) of Ottawa, David (Heather) Price of Ottawa, Edward Price (Erica) of Ottawa, Allen Hall of Powell Creek; Cousins Jon "Jon Jon" and Zac Casto, Breanna Jeffery, EllaRae, Jesse and Joscelyn Price, Lexi Price, Allison Butcher, Elliana Price, Hannah and Elijah Duty, Jace Collins, Kim Ball, Chris Adkins, Caston and Kirk Burton, Evan, Candice, and Cory Hall, Wade and Tracy Dunlap
Per Buddha's wishes he will be cremated and in keeping with what he would have wanted, we invite friends and family to join us for a Celebration of his life. In remembrance of him and his love of cooking, a Mexican dinner will be served. We hope you will gather with us to share your stories, memories, and the joy he brought into all of our lives. Buddha deeply loved and cherished each and every one of us, and it would mean so much to us to get together one last time in his memory.
