Thomas Jackson Harper, 84, of South Charleston went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2023 after a long illness.

Thomas was born September 29, 1938 to the late Malcolm and Ginny Harper.  In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his second wife, Linda Harper.

Thomas served in the U.S. Army for 20 years, was a Vietnam Veteran, and a member of the Dunbar Baptist Church.  He was Saved and Baptized in 2016.

Left to cherish his memory are his first wife, Kay Harper; brother, David Harper; son, Thomas Lee Harper (Renee); daughter, Lisa Dunlap (Mike); step-son, Danny Marion; and grandchildren, Rikki Wills and Michael Dunlap.

Service will be at Noon Friday, September 1, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston with Pastor Sam Pierson officiating.  Burial with Military Honors will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.
A gathering of family and friends will begin at 11:00 A.M. Friday at the funeral home.
