Theo E. Nelson, 81, of Charleston, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home. Born on October 3, 1944, in Dry Branch, West Virginia, Theo lived a life marked by dedication, resilience, and love for her family.

Theo was a hardworking and devoted individual who spent many years employed at Central Machine Shop before retiring. She took pride in her work and the life she built through her determination and strength.

She will be remembered for her caring nature and the deep love she had for those closest to her. Theo s presence brought comfort and stability to her family, and her memory will remain a lasting source of strength.

Theo was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Pomeroy of Dry Branch; her father, James Nelson of Drawdy; and her siblings, Junior, Eugene, Shearlean, Mondal, Kenneth, Leon, Don, and Lowell.

She is survived by her sister, Shelby Roach; her daughters, Yvonne Renee Moore and Athena Moore; her beloved grandchildren, Brandon Bayes, Cameron Bayes, and Jeanee Remy; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Easton and Lillian.

A visitation will be held at Cunningham & Parker-Johnson Funeral Home on April 2, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., a Graveside service will follow at the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens with Nelson Roach officiating.
