Thelma Loretta Davis, 91, of Charleston went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2023 in Hubbard Hospice House West.

Thelma was born January 24, 1932 to the late Luther Frederick Ashby and Leva Myrtle Westfall Ashby.  In addition to her parents, Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Hank" Davis; brother, Leroy, David, and Ralph Ashby; sisters, Josephine Carter and Gail Turns; and a son-in-law, Melvin Hunter Sr.

Left to cherish her memory are loving children, Dennis W. Davis (Delcy) and Dawn O. Hunter; grandchildren, Annette Davis, Melvin Hunter Jr., and Mandy Skeens; great-grandchildren, Zachary and Savannah Hunter, and Hunter, Haven, and Holden Skeens; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Thelma was a member of the Davis Memorial Missionary Baptist Church.  She was the Manager at Valley Bell, Charleston.  She especially loved bowling, traveling with the Jolly Travelers and Friends, and shopping.

Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston with Pastor Roger Vannoy officiating.  Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Sissonville.

A gathering of family and friends will begin at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
