Thecla Maguire Thecla Maguire, 81 a long time resident of the Charleston area, passed away in the A. B. Hodges Center, on August 3, 2016. Thecla was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jim Maguire; and her mother, Lottie Sosnowski. Thecla was originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, and retired from the state of West Virginia, after many years of service, as the States Computer Systems manager. Her last held position there, was Deputy Secretary of the Department of Administration. She is survived by her aunt, Betty Trakul and several cousins, in the Detroit area, and her long time close friend/"Sister" Janet Schoen of Charleston. Thecla would want to sincerely thank the staff of the Arthur B. Hodges Center for their outstanding professional and compassionate care. She was very happy there. Memorial service will be 2 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, with Pastor David Taylor officiating. A gathering of friends will be 1 p.m. Sunday until service time at the funeral home. Her wishes were to be cremated.
