Obituary

Texie Parsons Starcher, 85, of Charleston went home to be with her heavenly Father on Monday February 13, 2017 after a long illness.
Born November 12, 1931 in Charleston, WV she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Odessa Parsons. She was also preceded in death by her husband Herbert "Buzz" Starcher and several brothers and sisters.
She was a very special mom, sister and friend who always put others needs before her own. She was very strong in her Faith with the Lord and was a lifelong and faithful member of Kanawha Two Mile Bible Church and loved then as her family.
Surviving are her children, Debbie Reed, Vicki Smith and husband Steve, Dianne Tate and husband Jack and Herb Starcher, all of Charleston; sisters, Grace Miller of Nitro, Sue Rakes of Utah, Linda Padgett of Morgantown and brother Rudy Parsons of Dunbar. Grandchildren Cliff Reed, Danielle Reed and Derek Tate and three great grandchildren, Jacob, Jasmine and River Reed. She is also survived by her special friend Bill Reed.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday February 16, at Cunningham-Parker-Johsnon Funeral Home with Pastor David Vanhorn officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalcio. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services.
The family would like to express thanks to the many nurses and care givers at Cedar Ridge Nursing Home and The Hospice Organization.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Memorial Donations to Kanawha Hospice Care, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W. Charleston, WV 25387.
