Tessie Menninger Lane 76 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord February 12, 2016 after a sudden illness. She was former owner/operator of Mr. Donut, Patrick Street and a longtime member of North Charleston Apostolic Church. Tessie was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Menninger, parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters and niece Drema Morrison. Survivors include her husband Lewis Lane of Charleston; nephew, Thomas McDonald; niece Melody McHomitch and great niece; Megan McHomitch, whom she raised as her own children; sister, Helen Diaz; brother-in-law, Bill Diaz; nieces, Becky Hundley, Sara Pittman and Kim Tucker; nephew, Ivan Bruce that loved her as more than an aunt; 15 great nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Sam. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday March 1, 2016 at North Charleston Apostolic Church with Pastor Anthony Moss officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation with the family will be Monday February 29, 2016 from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to services at the church.
