Teddy W. Britton, 65, of Charleston went home to be with the lord on May 25, 2018 after a long illness. He retired from Greenwood as a Project Manager. He was also a 20 year employee of Union Carbide as an electrician. Teddy graduated from Nitro High School in 1970 where he excelled at sports. He was an avid outdoors man enjoying hunting, golf, fishing and teaching his granddaughter to catch crawdads, set minnow traps and fish. '' We loved him to the moon and back and further,'' said Brooklynn Workman (granddaughter).
He is preceded in death by his Father and Mother, Parvin and Pauline Britton of Redhouse, WV and his Daughter- In-Law Christina Britton.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 44 years Sharon, and their children Cristalle (Joe) Workman of Scott Depot and Justin Britton of Cross Lanes. He is also survived by his most precious granddaughter, Brooklynn Workman of Scott Depot , his beloved pet Jasper, his Mother-in-law Glendel (Lowell) Fisher, his best friend Tony Eckenrode and Brother-In-Law David Fisher and
Sister-in-law Barbara.
He also has a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews whom he thought a lot of.
Visitation for family and friends will be on Tuesday May 29, 2018, from 6-7pm at Baber-Agee United Methodist Church, Rocky Fork Road. Service begins at 7pm with Reverend Robert Lacy presiding. Teddy's wishes were to be cremated and his ashes spread under his favorite tree.
