Sophia Thomas, 79, of St. Albans, passed away November 11, 2010 after a long illness. She was a former Employee of Bob Evan's in South Charleston. She was always a happy person who loved to always be on the go and never stopping. She was preceded in death by her Parents, Hollie and Cora Helton, and her husband, Douglas P. Thomas, and preceded by several Brothers and Sisters. Surviving her are Daughters, Kathy Mowery of Knoxville, Tennessee; and Robin Nutter and her husband Don of Bristol Tennessee; Brother, Dave Helton of Sneedville, Tennessee; Sister, Rhoda Helton of Rogersville, Tennessee. Grandchildren, Douglas and Richard Songer, Bobby, Michael and Randy. Great Grandchild, Jacob Songer, and a host of friends left to mourn her passing. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, November 15, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM on Sunday at the Funeral Home.
