Shirley Manning Shirley Manning, 73, of Sissonville, went home March 13, 2012 to be with the Lord and to join other family members. She was a graduate of Sophia High School, where she was a cheerleader, and was a longtime realtor with Century 21 Action Realty. Throughout her career she was awarded the membership of the Multi-Million Dollar Club. She was a loving mother and enjoyed her grandchildren. Shirley was preceded in death by her father; Roy Barr, mother, Mary Belle Jarrell; sister, Toots McComas; brother, Coy Barr; and niece, Vickie McComas. Surviving are her children, Mark Manning and wife, Renee of Rock Hill, South Carolina and Kelly Thaxton and husband Dale of Sissonville; ex-husband and father of her children, Ronald Manning of Malden; grandchildren, Dustin Thaxton, Amber Thaxton and Trevor Thaxton all of Sissonville, Heather Manning and Victoria Manning both of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday March 17, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Private family burial will be in Hot Coal Cemetery, Sophia.
