Shirley Kay Good, 65 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on April 8, 2013 at CAMC Memorial Division after a courageous battle with cancer. She was an employee of the One Stop Convenience Stores for several years, a member of New Prospect Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a very devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister. Preceding her death were her parents, Edgar and Leora Burdette; brothers, Paul, Rick and Ted Burdette; sisters, Ardona Burdette and Greta Peters. Survivors include her husband of 48 years John Good, Sr.; daughter, Lisa Eden and husband Mike of Scott Depot; son, John Good, Jr. and wife Pamela of Clendenin; brothers, Edward Burdette and wife Vonda of Sissonville and Roger Burdette and wife Diana of Charleston; sister, Becky Good and husband Roger of Sissonville; sister-in-laws, Roberta and Delores Burdette Grandchildren, Kirk Eden and wife Jimi of Nitro, Kaitlin Eden and Fiancée Derek Herdman of Winfield and Tayler Good; great grandchildren, Troy and Natalie Eden and Kaeden Herdman. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday April 12, 2013 at New Prospect Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Naylor officiating. Burial will follow in the New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery, Legg Fork Road, Sissonville. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church.
