Shayln Shantel Harvey, 16, of Charleston, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply. Born on June 23, 2009, she was the cherished daughter of Ayla Harvey and Brandon Harrison. Shayln brought light and love to those around her and will be remembered for the joy she shared with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mamaw, Lena Veness Boggess, and her great-grandparents, Bonnie and Dewey Spencer, who no doubt welcomed her with open arms.

Those left to treasure Shayln’s memory include her loving mother; her siblings, Labella, Hayylee, Nova, Nancy, and Jayden, whom she loved dearly; her papaw, Nathon Harvey; her special aunt, Nancy Spencer; and her uncle, Joseph Boggess and his companion, Deanna Reed.

Though her time here was far too short, Shayln’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
