Shawn Scott McKemy Shawn Scott McKemy, 48, of Sissonville, passed away April 21, 2015. He was a 1986 graduate of Sissonville High School. He was also a former volunteer fire fighter for the Sissonville Volunteer Fire Department. Shawn enjoyed hunting, fishing, cats and showing horses. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Claire Curtis McKemy, Jr.; stepfather, Adrian Wilkinson; brother, Rick McKemy; and grandparents, Clair C. McKemy, Sr., Dicie McKemy, Samuel Jones and Mollie Jones. Survivors include his daughter, the joy of his life, Bailey Nicole McKemy of Milton; mother, Brenda Wilkinson of Sissonville; sister, Paula Jones and companion, Dwayne of Sissonville; and his loving cat, Rudy. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday, April 24, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Valley Center including Margaret, Amy, Bobbi, and Milton as well as his Hospice nurses, Sara, Bobbie and Amy.
