Sanford "Allen" Thomas Sanford "Allen" Thomas, 68, of Sissonville, received his angel wings on July 17, 2013. He was born October 27, 1944, son of the late Walter and Olive Holmes Thomas, who greeted him at heaven's gate, also there to greet him was sister-in-law, Eunice Thomas. Allen was a local business owner of Thomas Heating and Cooling for the last 40 years. He was a man who could brighten up anybody's day. He will be dearly missed by his wife of 49 years, Hilda Hammons Thomas; son, Sanford "Sam" Allen Thomas, II and wife Paula of Sissonville; daughter, Alana Eads and husband Eddie of Charleston; his grandbabies were his world; Samantha Taylor, Tiffany Thomas, Cheyan Thomas, Rachel Eads, Miranda Boner, and Gaige Underwood; his great-grandbaby, Kailey Carpenter, who he called Pumpkin; brothers, Glennis Thomas of Poca, David Thomas and wife, Diane of Elkview; sisters, Linda Talbert of Poca, Diana Raines and husband, Buck of Kenna; and many more family and friends who will miss him dearly. Special thanks to Anna and Jennifer Shultz, and Hospice Care for making his journey more peaceful. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor George Webb officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday also at the funeral home Rest in peace Papa, fly high with the angels. We Love You!
