Ruth N. Thaxton 89 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord July 19, 2016. Ruth retired from the accounting division of C&P Telephone with 38 years of service. She was a member of Charleston Mountain Mission, the church choir, sang in the Octet, was a member of Circle 3 and taught Sunday school. Preceding her in death were her husband George Thaxton, brothers, James & Cleo Pfost, sisters, Pauline Carte, Mildred Caldwell and Wanda Young. Survivors include her daughter Cynthia Randolph and husband Ben; grandson, Patrick Randolph and wife Lindsey and great granddaughter, Amelia, all of Charleston. Funeral Services will be 7:00 PM Friday July 22, 2016, at Charleston Mountain Mission Church with Rev. Kenny Petry officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5:00 PM until service time on Friday. Committal Services and Burial will be on Monday July 25, 2016 in Grandview Memorial Park, Dunbar.
