Obituary

Roy A. Smith, 85, of Charleston passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2011. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in WWII. He also retired from the West Virginia Air National Guard. He was a member of Farmerville-Union Masonic Lodge #0183, Interlaken, New York. He was preceded in death by his Wives, Betty Smith and Reine Smith; Sisters, Dorothy Carpenter and Kathryn Moss; Nephew, Gary Moss and Niece, Jessica N. Carpenter. Surviving his is a sister, Geraldine Tingler of Parkersburg. Also surviving him are 11 Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 10, 2011 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial with Military Graveside Rites provided by American Legion Post 61 Clendenin will be in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Monday at the Funeral Home.
