Rosie Ellen Burke-Eaton 83 of Charleston West Virginia went home to be with the Lord on June 24, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Eaton; parents, William and Dianey Burke of Charleston, and many brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Susie Hissom and husband Steve of Elkview; sister, Betty Burke of Charleston; granddaughter, Debbie Hissom of Charleston; grandson Steve Hissom, II and wife Amanda of Charleston. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn her passing. Rosie was a devout Christian and was active in her church, Harvest Time Church of God. She loved her Lord and Savior, and especially enjoyed ministering to others about His Greatness. She was known for her generosity, often giving to others without consideration for herself. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff at the Dunbar Care and Rehabilitation Center for caring for Rosie these past few years, as well as Hospice. A special thank you to Betty Burke and Donald Burke for their loving care and devotion to Rosie over the years. A tribute to the life of Rosie will be 4:00 PM Friday June 27, 2014 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Jess Inclenrock officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Charleston.
