Rose Marie Gibson 53 of Charleston passed away September 23, 2013 at her home after a long illness. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and lifelong resident of Charleston. Preceding her in death were her parents, Thurmond and Emongene Lovejoy Layne and brother Donnie Layne. Survivors include her loving husband of 35 years Dale Gibson; daughters, Kimberly Layne, Candy Hanshaw and Misty Gibson all of Charleston; sisters, Sharon Sloan, Sandy Reese and Shanette Paige all of Charleston and 6 Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday September 26, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Springhill Cemetery, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
