Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Combs, 70, of Charleston passed away May 20, 2024 in CAMC Memorial Division.

Ronnie was born March 3, 1954 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Eugene and Ruth Elizabeth Bailey Combs.  In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his daughter, Bobbie Jo Combs; and a sister, Kim Combs.

Left to cherish his memory are loving wife of 50 years, Carolyn "Kay" Young Combs at home; son, Jeremy Combs of Charleston; daughter, Elizabeth Combs of Bancroft; grandchildren, Jordan Cambell and Brooklyn Pace; brothers, Robert, Glen, Darrell, Tony, and Chris; sister, Regina Flanagan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ronnie was a retired Stucco Mason, having served in the U.S. Army as an 82nd Airborne Ranger, Fort Bragg.  Ronnie especially enjoyed watching NASCAR.

Service will be Noon Friday, May 31, 2024 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, 1325 W. Washington Street, Charleston.  Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard State Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.

A gathering of family and friends will be 6:00-8:00 P.M. Thursday, May 30 at the funeral home.
