Roma W. Skeens, 96, of Charleston went home to be with the Lord on March 24, 2010 at Golden Living Center. He was a Retired Polisher with True Temper Corporation with 38 years of service. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed reading the Bible. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Arietta Nottingham Skeens and several Brothers and Sisters. Surviving him is a daughter, Ruby Jarrett and husband Ron of Charleston; sister, Ruby Webb of Mentor, Ohio; Grandchildren, Robin Sanchez and husband Jamie of Charleston, and Jeffrey Jarrett also of Charleston; great grandchildren, William Jared Jones, Heather and Clay Jarrett, Megan, Chandler and Bryce Sanchez all of Charleston; great great grandchildren, Chance, Dalton and Baylor Jones of Charleston, and Cade Jarrett of Charleston. The family wishes to express sincere Thanks to Golden Living Center for their excellent care. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday March 27, 2010 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Jarrett officiating. Burial will follow in Layne Cemetery, Kanawha Two Mile, Charleston. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services also on Saturday.
