Roger "Rod" Higginbotham, 66 of Charleston went home to be with the Lord December 12, 2017.
Rod retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways after 39 years of service, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a devoted father and loving husband.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan Don and Brid gette Virginia Miller Higginbotham.
Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sherry Boggess Higginbotham; sons, Don Alan Higginbotham and Raymond Boggess, both Charleston; daughter, Beth Ann White and husband Scott of South Charleston; brother, Alan T. Higginbotham and wife Donna of Artie; granddaughter, Shayla White, grandson, Mathew Myers and several nieces and nephews who are also left to mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Monday December 18, 2017 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, also at the funeral home.
