Rodia Kay Case Rodia Kay Berry Case, 91, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 8, 2013, at Hubbard Hospice House, surrounded by her family. She was born December 19, 1922, to the late Mike and Mamie Berry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jennings Reed; daughter, Sharon Kay; grandson, William "Will" Reed on October 25, 2013; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth "Libby" Reed; brothers, Otis and Roy Berry; and sister, Leoda Holmes. During Rodia's life she worked at various restaurants, and flower shops in the Charleston area. After her grandsons were born, she immediately quit work to help raise them. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Joe Case; sons Larry (Helen) Reed, Eddie Reed and Jess (Carol) Lanham; grandson, Matt (Rhonda) Lanham; great-grandsons, Padon Comer, Triston Lanham, and Brett Reed; great-granddaughter, Fayth Lanham. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston with Pastor Mark Thaxton officiating. Entombment will be in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be from noon until service time, Thursday at the funeral home.
