Robert Earl Bailes, 82, of Flatwoods, KY, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 3, 2024. He was born on September 5, 1941, to the late William Bailes and Jarlene Adkinson Bailes.

Robert is best remembered for his years of volunteering, coaching and mentoring the youth of Dunbar WV. He worked in midget football, baseball, basketball, girls softball as well as serving two stints as the Parks and Recreation Director for the city. He loved kids and poured his whole soul into everything he did. He is also a proud veteran serving with the 101st airborne division.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years Linda Karen Bailes and son Richard Lee Bailes.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Timothy Albert Bailes (Jessica Ann), grandsons Timothy Carson and Timothy Andrew.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00p.m. at Grandview Memorial Park. Everyone welcome.
