Richard Lewis Gunnoe 88 of Charleston passed away January 26, 2015 at Hubbard Hospice House after a long illness. Mr. Gunnoe was an Army veteran of WWII and a 50 year member of The Brick Layers Local #9 Charleston. He was preceded in death by his parents Lamuel Clyde and Pearl Ester Alderman Gunnoe and his son, Ricky Gunnoe. Survivors include his loving wife, Freda Whittaker Gunnoe; son, David Gunnoe of Charleston; daughter, Ellen Marie Toombs of West Palm Beach, Florida; sisters, Patricia Pierce and Margaret Chancey. Three Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday January 29, 2015 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. William K. Berry officiating. Burial will follow in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to services on Thursday.
