Obituary

Richard Douglas Duff, 66, of Charleston passed away September 26, 2018 at home after a sudden illness.
He was born January 17, 1952 at Thomas Memorial Hospital to Lewis and Helen Duff. He was their middle child and only son.
In his earlier years he was a gymnast at Lawrence Frankel Institute Inc., and a graduate of Stonewall Jackson High School, Class of 1969.
Richard proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corp.
He was a member of Charleston Moose Lodge, Endowment member of the NRA and retired from the State of West Virginia, Director of Profit and Budget Department with the WVDHHR.
Richard was a well educated man, having graduated from West Virginia State College with a degree in Mathematics; Graduate of Miami Dade Community College with a degree in Accounting and a Graduate of Computer Science School in Quantico, Virginia.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, loving son, father and grandfather whom would go to any length to provide and educate his daughter and grandchildren. He was a saved Christian.
Preceding him in death was his mother and father and older sister, Pamela Sue Duff.
Surviving are his daughter, Christine Duff and Rick Wolfe, granddaughter, Keylee Staats, grandson, Dakota Kowalski, sister, Patricia Spencer and Jerry Spencer, niece, Jessica Fluty and her son Justin, all of Charleston.
Services and burial will be held at noon, Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar.
