Richard W. "Coke" Wright Richard W. "Coke" Wright, 87, of Clendenin, passed away peacefully, November 19, 2013, at his residence. He was an avid WVU fan. He loved to play cards and collect old cars. Coke was preceded in death by his parents, Marshal and Hazel Godbey Wright; children, Karen Peck and Robert Wright; siblings, Bertha Tucker, Dorothy Bowen and Warren Wright. Surviving are; his wife of 66 years, Phyllis Harper Wright; children, Jean Holley and husband, James of South Charleston, Janet Creasy of Amelia, Virginia, Donna Harkins and husband, Lee of Hurricane, Barbara Truman and husband, Allen of Wayside, Richard A. Wright and wife, Carolyn of Chase City, Virginia, Elaine Jarrell and husband, Fred of Clendenin, Kenny Wright, and wife, Barbara of Charleston, Rodney Wright and wife, Patty of Peytona, James Wright and wife, Rebecca of Varina, Virginia, Patty Wright of Maysel and Dale Wright of Clendenin; 17 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2013 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home, Charleston, with Pastor Lee Hamrick officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Hurricane. Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home.
