Reva A. Wines, 85, of Sissonville went home to be with the Lord on May 19, 2012, she passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones. Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Reva was retired from the U.S. Postal Service where she and her daughter Sandy maintained the same mail route in Sissonville for 28 years. She loved to cook and bake and her home was always full of family for Sunday dinners. She loved to sew and made beautiful quilts. She loved to sing and listen to gospel music. She loved her family and loved playing with the grandbabies. Reva was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, Jimmy and Kathy, daughter, Hilda Wines, parents Sigle and Ethel Shaffer, five sisters, and two brothers. Reva leaves behind the love of her life for 70 years, Lawrence Wines, her very special angel on earth, caretaker and daughter, Sandy Wines of Sissonville both of them have never left her side; son, Bill Wines and wife Pat of Jefferson Texas; daughter, Hermie Cobb and husband Jim of Poca; son, Johnny Wines and wife Becky of Sissonville; daughter, Gail Pringle and husband Phil of Ripley; daughter, Patsy Westfall and husband Arnold of Ripley; daughter, Crickett Murray and husband John of Sissonville. Twelve grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Al Mendez officiating. Burial will follow in Floral Hills Garden of Memories, Pocatalico. Visitation with the family will be Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM at the Funeral Home.
