Rebecca Mae Crews Harkins of Poca, WV passed away December 14, 2024 at Magnolia Assisted Living. She was the daughter of the late Katie Ranson Bailey and Tom Ranson.
She is preceded in death by husband Gene E Crews; two brothers Harvey Brooks Ranson and Kermit Ranson; grandson Craig E. Crews; and daughter in law Jerri Crews.
She is survived by husband Emory Harkins; son Rickey Crews (fiancé Mary Jo) of Port St. Lucie, FL; 2 daughters Martha Lemon (Rick) of Highlands Ranch , Co and Judith Lilly of Poca, WV; Stepson Greg Harkins (Nicole) of Hurricane, WV; grandchildren Marshall Crews (Michelle) of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Phillip Crews of Mathias, WV, Greg Hoover (Stacy) of Haymarket, VA, and April Hawkins of Cross Lanes, WV. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, 1 step great grandson; 2 great great grandchildren, and 1 due in May 2025.
Mae was a lifelong member of Emmanuel Baptist Church where she was well known for her homemade coconut cream pies. She served as deaconess, office helper, and visited homebound members.
Mae was employed by J.C. Penney's, worked and retired as secretary for Littlepage and Ford Elementary with 26 years of service.
Mae's summer passion was going to Myrtle Beach with her daughter Judith. She also loved cutting grass and taking care of her home to the age of 89.
