Rebecca Ruth "Becky" Bostic was born May 17, 1962, and passed away November 8, 2018.
Becky was a lifelong resident of St. Albans. She attended Belvil Elememtary, St. Albans Junior High, and graduated from St. Albans High School, Class of 1980. During high school she was the Red Dragon mascot, Drema Dragon. She attended West Virginia State College, graduating with a degree in Educaton. Becky also had a master's degree from Marshall University. She worked at Shawnee Hills Center for several years before starting her teaching career with Kanawha County Schools. Becky taught Special Edication at Lakewood Elementary, East Bank High, St. Albans High, and then at Weimer Elememtary until January 2017 when she became ill.
Becky is survived by her brother Bert and his wife Heather of Midland, Texas, her nieces Kara Mittelsted and Anne Bostic, and her nephew Aaron Beaver. She is also survived by her best friend Gina Tinsley and many, many others who were proud to call her friend.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents Ira and Ruth Bostic and her brother Ira, Jr. (Pudge).
The family would like to thank Marshall University Medical Center; Cabell Huntington Hospital, particulary Dr. Willenburg; and the staff and hospice staff at Teays Valley Center for their care for Becky.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 Saturday, December 29, 2018, at St. Andrew United Methodist Church in St. Albans.
