It is with great sadness that the family of Raymon Lee Cobb announces his passing. Raymon went to be with his Lord and Savior on September 2, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife Anna Marceline Cobb. Raymon will be sadly missed by his present wife Susan Moss Cobb and his children, Melissa (Steve), Jimmy (Valerie), Eric (Michelle), Kristy, and Michael. Raymon will also be fondly remembered by his 15 grandchildren, Max, Jessie (John), Aspen (Luke), Jared, Keenan, Machaela, Samantha, Emmalea, Ashley, Michaela (Jimmy), Jake, and Megan, by his 4 great-grandchildren Mikel, Annalee, Randall, and Elizabeth. He will also be lovingly remembered by his sisters Betty Barnes, and Becky (Rick) Myers and sisters-in-law Resa Cobb, Loretta Cobb, by his brothers Ralph (Susie) Cobb, and Joe (Louise) Cobb. Raymon was also preceded in death by his brothers Robert Cobb, Richard Cobb, Ruffner Cobb, and sisters June Davis, and Joy Edgll.
Raymon spent over 20 years serving his country in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne as well as the Reserves. He later retired from the United States Postal Service. More importantly, he was most proud of his service to God as a pastor of many churches up into his late 70's. As a result of his service many individual's lives were changed as they came to know Christ. He put his Lord and family above all.
The family appreciates all the love and prayers given during this time.
An outdoor service will be conducted Saturday September 5th 2pm in the parking lot of Sugar Creek Missionary Baptist Church on Sugar Creek Drive, Charleston. A drive through gathering will begin at noon until service time. Military Honors will be conducted by the St. Albans VFW and American Legion.
