Obituary
Playford "Smokey" Ice, 78 of Charleston passed away at Home on October 3, 2018.
Smokey was a devault Christian and attended North Hills Baptist Church, he was an Air Force Veteran and retired from Casto Technical Services. He was a self taught woodworker and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Surviving is his loving wife of 60 years, Jean Ice; children, Bruce Ice, Janett Bowen, and Joy Horvath and husband Steve; granddaughter, Junel Ice-Harper; great granddaughter, Tianna Ice; daughter-in-law, Kathy Ice; sister, Theda Hayes. Also surviving are a few special brothers and sisters in Christ.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, October 5, 2018 at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor Michael Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Donel C. Kinnard State Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Dunbar with Military Graveside Rites.
Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, also at the Funeral Home.
